Can vegan chocolate be better than regular chocolate? “Most definitely”, says Jacques from Coco Caravan. “Keeping it free from refined sugars and dairy means that it’s all about the cacao, the chocolate itself.”

Jacques has been in the world of cacao for over 10 years, making small batch bean-to-bar chocolate. This year’s big standout is Coco Caravan’s 50% Oat milk chocolate – with sublime cacao from Piura in Peru, creamy oats and topped with some crunchy cacao nibs.

The Coco Caravan chocolate factory and cacao bar is open on Fridays and Saturdays in the centre of Stroud.
