Get the look: Made in Chelsea
Made in Chelsea has returned for a sun-soaked series in Croatia, and we’re already overcome with serious wardrobe envy! Taking a little MIC inspiration (with some help from Celebrity Secrets) it isn’t impossible to create your own sensational summer wardrobe.
So, we’ve found out where you can buy the classiest of clothing look-a-likes from our favourite outfits in the new series so far…
VICTORIA BAKER HARBER: THE BLACK BOW BANDAEU
Of course, Victoria would only ever be seen in the most lavish designer clothing. But for those who aren’t successful fashion designers, Pretty Little Thing offers a near identical alternative. Their black bow crop top is just £5 in the sale, and can be easily paired with jeans, shorts or a skirt for a glam night-look.
MELISSA TATTAM: RED SWIMSUIT
Melissa really is a master at nailing the swimsuit choice, but this can only be expected from a girl who has created her own swimwear brand! Surprisingly, this isn’t one of her own pieces, but this plunging Baywatch-like costume was from ASOS. Unsurprisingly, it quickly went out of stock but ASOS offer a very similar piece, originally from Boohoo, at £10.50. This is a must have swimwear staple for wowing fellow beach-goers.
HABBS IE. SOPHIE HABBOO: ROSE MAXI DRESS
On her surprise date with Sam, Habbs stunned in a floral, low-back maxi dress that showed off her tan and fully embraced the relaxed, beachy-vibe of Croatia. Easy to style and perfect for day or night, Parisian Fashion offers a very similar dress for £25. Pair with delicate gold jewellery and you can recreate Habbs’ effortless look.
TABITHA WILLETT: TAYLOR MORRIS SUNGLASSES
A staple of the Made in Chelsea summer wardrobe is definitely those designer sunglasses. Not only a fashion piece, sunglasses are holiday essentials and Tabitha’s were arguably the most enviable. Spotted flashing her Taylor Morris Naila sunnies at £240 a pair, we know these aren’t an option for everyone! But at a slightly cheaper price, Victoria Beckham’s label offers Cut Away Kitten sunglasses, available on sale at £80, down from the original price of £265.
SOPHIE HERMANN & TABITHA: THE STRAW HAT
On a tense lunch-date with Jamie Lang, Miles Nazaire, and Heloise Agostinelli (known as Ell), Sophie wore a trilby straw hat with a black band. During a reunion with old college friend Liv Bentley, Tabitha Willett was also seen embracing the trend.
Not only a great fashion choice, straw hats are practical. They protect your hair from direct sunlight and, as Sophie and Tabitha will know, they can be a life-saver for blondes. Too much sun can lighten hair and, particularly for hair that is already bleached, this won’t leave your locks in the best condition.
For a style like Sophie’s, head to Oliver Bones for a leather-trimmed straw hat for £22. But for a cheaper option, Pretty Little Thing have a trilby style for just £8.
HABBS: ORANGE MAXI DRESS
It’s clear that Habbs is a fan of a good maxi dress. Looking at the photos from the summer party, you can see how this orange halterneck shapes her curves while showing off her tan. This gorgeous dress is just £22 in the sale at Pretty Little Thing, and can be paired with jewellery of a clashing colour for any occasion, whether it be a late-night party, or with strappy heels for a more sophisticated affair.
STATEMENT EARRINGS
If we learnt one thing from the very first episode, it’s that big earrings are in! We’re not talking about long tassel earrings, but rather huge palm trees and bird cages. Tabitha and Sophie showed that they’re fans of bold, quirky jewellery and we really feel this trend should be embraced! Available at Doll Skill, beach story palm tree earrings at £5.74 are wacky but still chic – as Tabitha demonstrated with her gorgeous ‘mahiki’ pair in that first episode.
